About Us
Welcome to Canaan Church! We're a lively, Christ-centered community in Tottenham, North London. Our church is a beautiful mix of cultures and generations, where people of all ages and backgrounds come together to grow in faith, connect in love, and serve others.
As an independent, non-denominational church, our heart is all about spreading the Gospel, building meaningful relationships, and fostering a spirit of unity within the Body of Christ. We're passionate about discipleship—being devoted followers of Jesus and helping others on their journey as well. We invite everyone to discover and develop their unique gifts, and together, we support one another through all of life's ups and downs.
We love serving our community! Whether it's reaching out to the elderly, helping the homeless, supporting families and young people, or assisting those in temporary accommodation, we are dedicated to making a positive impact. We partner with local schools, nursing and care providers, and food distribution organisations to help those in need. We also encourage our members to extend their acts of service into their daily lives, being the hands and feet of Christ to neighbours, friends, and everyone around them.
We're proud to be part of Pray Haringey, and work alongside other churches and ministries, like YWAM, Jews for Jesus, Willesden Green Baptist Church, and Goff's Oak Methodist Church. Together, we organise joint services, prayer meetings, and community events such as the Tottenham Pentecost Festival. We also host gatherings for men, women, parents, and church leaders to grow and connect. Plus, we support each other in outreach efforts, including soup kitchens and prayer breakfasts.
